Timmins firefighters are being recognized for their decades of service.
At the Feb. 5 council meeting, six firefighters were honoured.
Four medals were given out for 25 years of service. They are career firefighters Rock Rice and Victor Helin, as well as South Porcupine volunteers Jamie Costello and Kevin Manol.
Thirty-year service bars were also given to Whitney volunteers Brian Nankervis and Daniel Rochon.
