A public meeting is your chance to learn more about where the plans are at to return passenger rail to Timmins.

Ontario Northland is hosting two drop-ins on Thursday, March 14 at the South Porcupine Legion, 46 Legion Dr. It runs from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

"The Timmins-Porcupine Station will feature a train platform, a station building, outdoor parking facilities, a pedestrian walkway, bus bays, a taxi stand, a designated passenger pick-up and drop-off area and a municipal bus stop. Situated along the existing rail corridor just west of Bob’s Lake, the station aims to revolutionize transportation connectivity in our region," reads the meeting announcement.

The sessions are a chance to learn more about the project and where the engineering designs and environmental studies are at. It's also a chance to share feedback.
