Help us celebrate public libraries during Ontario Public Library Week (OPLW), from Oct. 20 to 26, 2019. We encourage all residents who don’t already have a library card to drop in and register for a membership, free of charge.
Celebrate with us at both branches of the Timmins Public Library where a visit will get you thinking. The following events have been planned for all members!
Month of October Canadian Library Month: Love Your Library! A month-long contest and membership drive at both branches. Every week, the library will draw a prize purchased from a local organization, as a thank you for the support received by its members.
- Monday, Oct. 21: Patron Appreciation Day! Free coffee, tea, and cookies all day at both branches. Bilingual Bookworm Babies at 2:00 p.m. Main Branch.
- Tuesday, Oct. 22 – Saturday, Oct. 26: Book sale at the Main Branch! Sale runs during our regular open hours.
- Tuesday, Oct. 22: L’heure du conte 10h30 ages 2 à 4 ans. Main Branch. Yoga Groove! Le Yoga, ça m’va! 6:00 p.m Ages 8-12 ans. Main Branch.
- Tuesday, Oct. 22 – Wednesday, Oct. 23: Puzzle exchange all day at the Main Branch! Bring in your old jigsaw puzzle (all pieces please), and exchange it for a new-to-you puzzle!
- Wednesday, Oct. 23: ABC Yoga Program/Programme ABC Yoga 10:30 a.m ages 2-4 ans. Main branch. Teen Advisory Group (T.A.G. / G.C.A.) 6:00 p.m. Main Branch.
- Thursday, Oct. 24: Storytime at 10:30 a.m. Ages 2 – 4. Main Branch.
- Friday, Oct. 25: Library/Bibliothèque “Fun with Lego” / Plaisir avec Lego; drop-in all day. Main Branch.
- Saturday, Oct. 26: Halloween “Fun with Lego”/Plaisir avec Lego; drop-in all day. Main Branch.
