TIMMINS SENIOR’S ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The Timmins Senior’s Advisory Committee is hosting an inaugural Healthy Aging Expo, which will take place on Friday, Oct. 27, 2017 at Science Village (225 Fifth Ave., Timmins) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Healthy Aging Expo will feature exhibitor booths from over 40 non-profits and businesses who service a healthy aging population in Timmins!
The Porcupine Health Unit will be offering the influenza vaccine for older adults and the Expo will feature presentations throughout the day on:
- Making the most of your medication - 10:30 a.m.
- TechSocial (empowering older adults through mobile technologies) - 11:30 a.m.
- Mindfulness - 12:30 p.m.
- Powers of attorney - 1:30 p.m.
- Eating for healthy aging - 2:30 p.m.
There will be a free lunch served to participants between 11 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. This is a free admission event for all community members.
Non-profits and businesses that provide services for older adults are invited to join us! A booth costs $35 for non-profit organizations and $100 for businesses. If you are interested in setting up an exhibitor booth, please refer to the following link or contact [email protected].
