DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD ONTARIO NORTH EAST

District School Board Ontario North East (DSB1) held its annual organizational meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021. The purpose of the organizational meeting was to elect a chair and vice-chair of the board for the following year.
Bob Brush was acclaimed as chair of the board, and Dennis Draves was acclaimed as vice-chair. Chair Brush and Vice-Chair Draves will serve for their fifth consecutive term together.
“It is an honour to continue to serve as chair of the board. I look forward to continuing to work with Director Dye and her Administrative Council to support student and staff wellness. With the upcoming municipal election in 2022, this year is our last official year together as a Board of Trustees. Let us continue the good work that we have achieved together since 2018,” said returning Chair Brush.
“I thank the Board of Trustees for their confidence in me. I look forward to continuing to work with Chair Brush and the entire DSB1 Board of Trustees in the coming year,” added Vice-Chair Draves.
The chair and vice-chair serve a one-year term and are elected during the annual organizational meeting.
