Crash closes Highway 11 from New Liskeard to Latchford (reopened)

Update 10 a.m. 

The highway is fully reopened and police have provided more details on the crash. 

The collision involving two commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) happened on Highway 11 south of Latchford today (March 10) around 12:30 a.m., said Temiskaming OPP.

The northbound vehicles struck the guard rail at Bay Lake. The first CMV flipped on its side, blocking both lanes of traffic, and the second CMV was disabled on the side of the highway. 

Three tow trucks were needed to remove the vehicle blocking the highway. 

The Ministry of Environment was also notified because of of the CMVs had a fuel leak.

A crash has closed Highway 11 from New Liskeard to Latchford. 

The closure is affecting school buses in the area. Buses W-621, W-631 and S-680 are cancelled this morning because the route includes the closed area.

The closure is due to a crash, according to 511.

In a tweet, 511 said a tractor-trailer is on its roof and there's a fuel spill. The reopening time is unknown.
