Four COVID-19 clinics are open for appointments.
The health unit is still in the first phase of vaccine rollout.
People eligible for this week's clinics are:
- Staff and essential caregivers at longterm care and retirement homes and First Nations Elder care
- Highest, very high and high-priority healthcare workers
- Adult chronic home care recipients
- People 80 years and up
- Indigenous people who are 18 years and older
The clinics are being held:
- Wednesday, March 24 at the Iroquois Falls Community Centre from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Wednesday, March 24 at the Smooth Rock Falls Community Centre from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Thursday, March 25 at the Cochrane Pavilion from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Thursday, March 25 at the Hornepayne Porcupine Health Unit from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Appointments are required for all clinics and walk-ins will not be accepted.
People who qualify for one of the clinics can book an appointment online here or call 1-800-461-1818.
For people who do get an appointment for the vaccination, the health unit has a few tips. They are:
- Do not arrive early. People will not be allowed into the clinic before their appointment time.
- Do not gather outside.
- Bring a mask and your health card.
