To keep traffic moving evenly, Coun. John Curley has asked for a new three-way stop in Porcupine.

At the Aug. 11 Timmins Coun. meeting Curley asked for a stop sign at Princess Street and Seguin.

“On Queen Street, many years ago they put a stop sign at Queen and Seguin. So what I’m asking now is to put the same on Princess Street and Seguin. Because what’s happened, from the residents, is they’re saying everyone is starting to use Princess Street because you can take off Gervais at the far end straight through with no stop signs,” he said.

He said it would keep traffic flowing on each street evenly, as opposed to going down one street because there are no stop signs.

No decision was made on the item at the meeting.
