Gilles Bisson is getting creative in the kitchen to connect with constituents.
The Timmins MPP launched Cooking with Gilles on Facebook this week. In the 12-minute debut cooking video, Bisson walks you through how to cook his take on a classic carbonara dish.
The video also promotes the COVID-19 Virtual Town Hall coming up Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 6 p.m.
Bisson notes in the video that everyone has had to adjust their lives to deal with the ongoing pandemic. Cooking and learning to make different dishes is one of the ways he's relieved stress during COVID-19.
“It’s been hard on a lot of people, but I think most of us understand we gotta do what we can in order to stop the spread of this particular disease. And it’s adjusted the way that we work but it’s also adjusted the way that we do things at home and one of the things I’ve learned how to do much better than I used to before is how to do some cooking,” he said in the video.
Next week's town hall is for people to share how they've adjusted.
"What have been some of your success stories about how you’ve coped? What have been some of your challenges that they’ve had to face? How do you view everything that’s going on now and raise any issue in regards to the pandemic and how things have been going in the last year,” he said.
