A Timmins contractor has reason to celebrate this year.

This week, Gatrem Contracting Inc. owner Luc Tremblay picked up a Timmins Chamber of Commerce member milestone to mark the business' 10th anniversary.

The general contracting company has grown since it opened in 2010.

At the start, Tremblay said it was himself and one employee. Today he said they like to stay around 10 to 12 fulltime employees.

“We got bigger, we got more equipment, bigger projects and just been growing since then,” said Tremblay.

According to Tremblay, Gatrem Contracting specializes in bigger industrial and commercial work and they do a bit of residential work as well.

Their work is scattered throughout the community.

Tremblay said their biggest project was at St. Mary's Manor, where they were in charge of a couple phases of work.

Right now, he said they're working on a 24-unit townhouse project in the Melrose area, and just finished up a 24-unit apartment building.
