Watermain lining will affect traffic and change a Timmins Transit route in the coming months.

Monday, May 11 to Sept. 18, the City of Timmins says traffic will be affected on Toke Street.

Timmins Transit Route 902 will be following a detour during the construction.

Instead of going up Toke Street from Ross Avenue, it will take Toke to Howard then proceed south to Eighth Avenue via Patricia.

"While traffic control will be in place, drivers are asked to slow down when proceeding through the work zone, and take alternate routes when possible to avoid on-site traffic congestion and promote employee saftey," reads a city news release.

Any questions should be directed to Service Timmins online or by calling 705-264-1331.
