For more than three decades an east end service club has been fuelling people at the Whitney Arena.
Since the arena opened, the Porcupine Kinsmen Club has run the concession. The organization was presented a certificate at tonight's council meeting to recognize their 35 years of service at the Highway 101 arena.
While sometimes it's a challenge to fill concessions at the city's facilities, Mayor Steve Black noted that the club has done a tremendous job at the Whitney.
