Cabaret Meets Queen Bee at TEBA ’s Bee Bad Burlesque Show

Whether it’s straight up or with a twist, it’s a cocktail of “shaken and stirred” for TEBA, the Timmins Ecological Beekeeping Association. Add a dollop of honey and a side of cheek and you’ve escaped into The Bee Bad Burlesque Show.

Whether it’s straight up or with a twist, it’s a cocktail of “shaken and stirred” for TEBA, the Timmins Ecological Beekeeping Association.  Add a dollop of honey and a side of cheek and you’ve escaped into The Bee Bad Burlesque Show.

And it’s all for the sake of the bees.

At Amigo’s on March 29th, the off-beat spectacle promises the bold and the bizarre, with burlesque dancers, boylesque dancers, fire eaters, and a human blockhead.  Have a gander at the art exhibition and sale, or strike your own pose before a professional photographer.  The show fuses the local flair of Timmins performers with the sauce of a Kingston-based troupe.  Tickets are on sale for $20 at Mi Casa Fashions, or you can sweeten your support with a sponsorship package.  And don’t miss your chance to win two free tickets with our radio give-away.

Through educational outreach, TEBA aims to develop and maintain a flourishing bee population throughout northwestern Ontario while adhering to organic, ecological methods.  Funds raised through The Bee Bad Burlesque Show will help TEBA to address the challenges that threaten bees and the modern beekeeper.  Admission is restricted to those nineteen and over.  Semi-formal attire is required.

So dust of your dapper duds and hightail it over to Amigo’s on March 29th for a night full of sass and pizzaz.  Doors open at 8:00 pm.  Show starts at nine.
