A water main break in the west end of Timmins means Walmart, Kal Tire and Maslack are without water, according to the City of Timmins.
A notice on the city’s website says the water has been shut off to the businesses due to a water main break this morning on Riverside Drive between Emerald and Roblin.
“For users who still have water but notice discolouration in the water, please let your water run until the water becomes clear,” reads the notice. “Discolouration is the result of the occurrence of the break and/or the shutting of water main shut off valves. Once the water is restored to Customers, please let your water run until the water becomes clear.”
There are crews on site to control traffic, and the road will be down to two lanes while crews are working.
According to the city’s alert, the estimated end time for the disruption is Feb. 9 4 p.m.
