Board of Trustees Approves BRC Recommendations - Temagami and Latchford Area

The Northeastern Catholic District School Board of Trustees voted in favor of the Boundary Review Committee recommendations regarding the busing transportation boundaries for student travelling in the southern region of the Board’s territory.

The Northeastern Catholic District School Board of Trustees voted in favor of the Boundary Review Committee recommendations regarding the busing transportation boundaries for student travelling in the southern region of the Board’s territory.

More specifically the board passed the following resolution:

Be it resolved that the Northeastern Catholic District School Board grandfather all current Temagami student and future siblings that attend English Catholic Central School: and

Be it resolved that the Northeastern Catholic District School Board support a boundary change in the Latchford South and Lorraine Valley areas to allow students living in these areas to attend St. Patrick Catholic School in cobalt, effective September 2014.

Richard Brassard, Board Chair commented “Once again I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the residents and staff members that provided feedback and comments.  Change is sometimes an uncomfortable thing to bring into our lives, but I believe the Boundary Review Committee made the appropriate recommendations, which will allow for consistency in the lives of our students and their families.”
