Weather advisory in effect for:

  • Little Abitibi - Kesagami Lake
  • Timmins - Cochrane - Iroquois Falls
  • Kirkland Lake - Englehart
  • Temiskaming Shores - Temagami

Winter weather travel advisory in effect for today.

An area of snow accompanied by stiff and cold northwesterly winds will move across the region today, with 5 to 10 centimetres expected by this evening in areas near the Quebec Border.

Motorists should be prepared for poor winter driving conditions due to low visibility in areas of heavier snow and local blowing snow from northwest winds gusting frequently to near 70 km/h. Untreated highways may be snow-covered and slippery in sections especially this morning.

Conditions will slowly improve this afternoon as the snow comes to an end.
