KIRKLAND LAKE - On Sunday, Feb. 11, 2019, members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of a donation box from a convenience store located on Government Road East in the Town of Kirkland Lake, Ont.
As a result of the police investigation, Rian Mclean, age 37, of Kirkland Lake, was arrested on Aug. 16, 2019, and charged with Theft Under $5,000, contrary to section 334(b) of the Criminal Code.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Sept. 5, 2019 in Kirkland Lake.
