The Timmins Police Service – Traffic Section is issuing a traffic advisory regarding the necessary closure of the intersection of Algonquin Boulevard and Pine Street in Timmins.

The closure will commence at 6:30 tomorrow morning (Sept. 10) and should last no longer than one hour.

The closure is necessary to allow for a technical testing procedure relative to that intersection to take place by the Technical Traffic Collison Recreationists of the Timmins Police Service.

Motorists and, in particular, Commercial Motors Vehicles should use other designated truck routes to navigate through the city of Timmins during the closure.

This intersection will be closed to allow traffic officers the ability to conduct an investigative testing procedure with the intersection closed off to all vehicular traffic to allow this to occur safely.

Once this procedure has been completed, the intersection will be reopened immediately so that normal traffic usage can resume.

The Timmins Police appreciates the anticipated cooperation of the motoring public.
