A Drug Chain Falls with Fentanyl Trafficking Arrest

The Timmins Police Service has charged and arrested seven people in eight days following several drug related investigations.

The Timmins Police Service has charged and arrested seven people in eight days following several drug related investigations. Between September 3rd and September 10th 2013, officers conducted investigations regarding the sale and possession of Fentanyl that has resulted with the arrests of both local and person’s from Southern Ontario.

On September 3, 2013 Bernard Hookimaw (35 years old) was observed illegally purchasing Fentanyl. Hookimaw was arrested and charged with Impaired Care and Control of a motor vehicle and Possession of a Substance Included in Schedule I (Fentanyl). The following day on September 4, 2013, Jason Charlebois (30 years old), was arrested and charged with two counts of Trafficking a Substance Included in Schedule I (Fentanyl). Also charged with Possession of a Substance Included in Schedule I (Fentanyl) was Denis Sutherland (33 years old).

On Saturday, September 7, 2013 Police executed search warrants at a local residence. The seized five Fentanyl patches worth a potential street value of $2,250.00. As a result of that investigation Mariah James (19 years old), Dwain James (46 years old), and Joseph Gottwald (36 years old) were charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Substance Included in Schedule I (Fentanyl).

On Tuesday, September 10 2013 Police arrested two males in relation to Fentanyl trafficking. A search warrant was later executed at a local hotel room. Police seized a total of 16 Fentanyl patches worth a potential street value of $7,200.00. Police also seized a total of $5,825.00 in Canadian Currency.

Police have charged 47 year old Adil Eissa Musa of Toronto with two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Substance Included in Schedule I (Fentanyl) and two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
