$269 worth of charges made on stolen credit card: Police

Timmins Police is looking to identify the suspect in a credit card fraud case.

The Timmins Police is seeking public assistance in seeking to identify a suspect involved in the fraudulent use of a stolen credit card

On May 9, a complainant reported his wallet had been stolen and that his credit card was used fraudulently at several Timmins locations.

The credit card was used at:

  • Shell Gas Bar located on Algonquin Boulevard East
  • Esso Gas Station located on Algonquin Boulevard East
  • Circle K located at on Algonquin Boulevard West

The complainant has since cancelled his credit card but the fraudulent purchases remain under investigation.

There were five transactions completed with the use of the credit card on May 6 and May 7 resulting in a total of $269.36 in fraudulent charges.

Please note the earring and the “something-something CAR CLUB” logo on the suspect’s jacket.
