18-year-old arrested after string of break-ins

The Timmins Police Service – Criminal Investigations Division has completed its investigation into a string of residential break-ins in the north end of the city.

A series of residential break-ins were reported to the Timmins Police stemming from incidents occurring at residences in late August.

As a result of their investigation, Rande Silvennoinen, 18, of Timmins, has been charged with:

  • 5 counts of Break and Enter contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • 5 counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • 5 counts of Failing to Comply with Conditional Sentence contrary to the Criminal code of Canada.

The accused person was arrested by the Timmins Police Service last week. His bail hearing continues today at Provincial Court in Timmins.
