TIme is running out to apply for the fall and winter Sports for Kids subsidy.

The Sports for Kids fall sports application deadline is on Sept. 15. The office at the Archie Dillon Sportsplex opens at 9 a.m. and closes at noon.

The organization helps children ages four to 18 from low-income families play organized sports. So far this year, 109 children in 131 sports opportunities have been given a total of $35,249 in subsidies.

"Without donations from the business, community partners, sports organizations and individual Timmins residents, we could not have helped these children in need to play sport," reads an announcement from the organization.

The applications are available at sportsforkidstimmins.com. Applicants need their 2021 notice of assessment line 15,000 and a pay stub or social assistance stub or deposit for July and August for all adults supporting the child. People must reapply every year as vouchers are distributed on an income threshold basis.

The income threshold for one child is $35,000, for two children it's $39,000, for three children it's $44,000 and for four or more children it's $48,000.
