$10,000 in drugs seized, Pope arrested

A Timmins man is facing drug-related charges following the execution of a search warrant on March 17.

Police executed the warrant at a residence in Timmins at approximately 7:30 p.m.

As a result of the search warrant, police seized seven Marijuana plants, 164 Methamphetamine tablets, 100 Percocet tablets and approximately $160 in Canadian currency.

Police also seized several items required to produce Marijuana plants, as well as evidence that the accused was extracting Cannabis resin from the plants.

The estimated street value of the items seized is approximately $9,800.

Greg POPE, 41, of Timmins faces two counts of production of a Schedule II substance and two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, along with one count of possession of property obtained by crime.

Pope was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date scheduled for April 28, 2015.
