The Timmins Chamber of Commerce’s “Before, During, and After Media Interviews” communications workshop offers you basic, tried-and-true tips on how properly prepare for conversations with the media, and how to conduct yourself when you find yourself under the media spotlight. This session, a follow-up to the popular “How to Pitch Your Story to the Media” communications workshop held on Oct. 30, explains how to make the most of interviews while ensuring your message is heard.

Participants will learn:

-How to prepare for a media interview -How to avoid common interview pitfalls -How to convey your message during an interview -What to do after the interview -How to create internal processes for handling media requests

Workshop Faciliator is Nick Stewart, the Chamber's Manager of Policy, Research and Communications.

This session will  provide the basis to make the most of the Timmins Chamber’s Media Summit, being held on Thursday, January 23, 2013.
