A local ride-share company is hoping passengers will leave a can behind this week.

On Sept. 20, Uride is running another initiative through its good deeds program. The company is encouraging passengers to bring a canned food item with them on rides and leave the can behind in car. All of the local donations will be brought to the Timmins Food Bank.

"Through our Good Deeds Program, we aim to foster a spirit of community and support," said Cody Ruberto, Uride founder and CEO, in a news release. "This initiative is a testament to our belief that small actions, when brought together, can create a significant impact. We encourage everyone to join us this month by bringing a canned item with you and leaving it in the car on Sept.20."
