Fishing the North: Get yourself to the McIntyre Arena this weekend

There's a little something for everyone at this year's sportsman show

Columnist David Reid will be on hand at the 70th Annual Sportsman Show at the McIntrye Arena and Curling Club
It's that time of the year again for the 70th Annual Sportsman Show at the McIntrye Arena and Curling Club.
 
The show has a little of something for all outdoor enthusiast.
 
If you're a hunter, this year's special guest is Wild TV's Amanda Lynn Mayhew. Amanda will be putting on hunt seminars throughout the weekend along with answering questions afterwards.   
 
While you're at the show, be sure to take in the ever popular Birds of Prey Show.
 
Show Times and admission fees are:           
  • Saturday, April 22 - 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 23 - 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Adults / Seniors / Students $5.00
  • Children 10 and under FREE

This year Mikey's is the new Smoker Craft dealer and they will have some models at the show this weekend. Come on by and check them out.

I'll also be in attendance at the Mikey's display answering any questions on the New Smoker Craft 172 Pro Angler with a 150 G2 Evinrude which I will be running for the 2017 season along with handing out some Free WiggleFin Action Discs.

The WiggleFin Action Discs simply are a disc that you add to your line that imparts action to your soft baits.

By adding one of the three sizes of ActionDiscs to your line in front of soft bait, it will now make them come to life with an erratic swimming action and add some vibration to them.

This year you'll also be able to find me over at the Bob's Taxidermy Booth where taxidermist Robert Patry will have some of mounts on display for you to check out.

Even after doing this show for 24 years, I still get excited meeting new people, and seeing new and familiar faces after a long winter.
