Fishing the North: Don't miss Albert's Work Wear BBQ

If you missed last year’s Albert's Sports and Work Wear BBQ, you'll be happy to know that Albert's will be holding their 2nd Annual H.O.P.E. (Comfort Kits and Community Outreach) event on Saturday, Apr. 29 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This year will see manufacturer reps from Quantum/Zebco, Savage, Federal Ammo, Camp Chef, Leupold, Kimber Firearms, Daiwa Fishing and Shimano on hand.

In attendance with also be Albert Albert's Sports and Work Wear's Fishing Team; Paul Ethier, Jeff Vipond, Jonathan Morin, JC Cayen, John Vrolyk, Annie/Henry Roberge, along with owner Chantal Cauchon and Ken Perreault.

I'll also be on hand to talk and answer any questions on Vigor Sunglasses and the advantages of Liquid Mayhem Fish Scents.

For those of you that who enjoy jerky, Ken will be putting it in the new Camp Chef Smoker/BBQ Thursday for you to test on Saturday.

If Jerky isn't your thing, not to worry – the BBQ will be going all day.

Some of the sales you don't want to miss out on during the event include fish batter, buy three get one free on all in stock; new non-current rods will be 50 per cent off; buy one go-getter get the other 25 per cent off; and purchase a DAIWA rod and reel over $150, receive a free spool of the new J-BRAID 8x line.

There will be many, many more crazy specials that must be seen to be believed.

If this wasn't enough, the good people at Camp Woodhouse on the Groundhog River have donated a three-night’s stay which will be raffled off.

All proceeds from this raffle and BBQ are going directly towards this program.
