Akira

(Humane Society)

Hi there, my name is Akira and I’m currently up for adoption through the Timmins & District Humane Society. I’m a special one-year-old, German Shepherd cross with a lot of love and energy!

The reason why I’m “special” is that I hail from a northern Ontario community that reached out to TDHS on my behalf for assistance with a very serious tail injury that had happened to me when I was living there. Nobody knows how this injury happened to me. Of course I DO know what happened to my tail, but these things can be so difficult to communicate with humans!

Rest assured, I’m now in ship shape after my surgery at the TDHS medical clinic. Staff took very good care of me, and while I now have a shorter-than-average tail, I am feeling G-R-E-A-T and am looking for a new, loving family to call mine.

What type of home am I looking for? I’ll require an active family that would enjoy bringing me on long walks or hikes and that would give me lots of play sessions! I also need to become part of a home where I will receive consistent training to learn my manners; after all, I’m still just a young pooch.

I love people, I’m very affectionate, and even a bit of a goofball! I just love making everyone laugh, and I’m sure to bring lots of smiles into your household!

If you think I would be a perfect fit for your family, then stop by and visit me at the Timmins & District Humane Society. Hope to see you soon!
