Ontario Premier Doug Ford says updated public health modelling numbers will be revealed to the public Monday, which he says will chart the course for public health measures over the coming weeks and months 

Ford was also joined by Minister of Colleges and Universities Ross Romano to announce $20 million in research funding to in an effort develop a vaccine for COVID-19.

The province says the COVID-19 Rapid Research Fund is now seeking proposals from research institutions, post-secondary institutions and non-profit scientific partners in order to advance medical research and develop tools and resources to combat COVID-19 and other infectious diseases.

Premier Doug Ford holds a press conference today at 1 p.m. from Queen's Park in Toronto.

He will be joined by Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health, Stephen Lecce, Minister of Education, and Dr. Merrilee Fullerton, Minister of Long-Term Care, to make an announcement.

The press conference will be streamed live on Ford's YouTube channel, and Village Media will carry the livestream feed.
