Names released in fatal plane crash

WEST PARRY SOUND – On March 18, 2015 at approximately 8:44 a.m. the Joint Rescue Coordinator Centre (JRCC) located a plane that had been reported in distress shortly before 4 p.m. on March 17, 2015.

The plane was located in a desolate rugged terrain near the mouth of the French and Pickerel Rivers within the French River Provincial Park area.

Following an investigation of the plane crash, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is now able to release the names of two of the victims involved as being that of Joseph ARSENEAU, 64, and Mary-Lou ARSENEAU, 65, both of Sudbury.

The name of the third person located at the scene of the crash is pending further post-mortem results.
