TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE

*************************
During the Timmins Police Services Board meeting of December 18, Timmins Police Pipes and Drums Pipe Sgt. Steve Meunier was recognized for a decade of service with the band.

Sgt. Meunier, who is also a Sgt. with the Ontario Provincial Police, has been a member of the Pipes and Drums since 2004, and was awarded a plaque by Pipe Major Tom Luke, TPS Chief John Gauthier, and TPS Board chair Mayor Steve Black.

TPS Deputy Chief Des Walsh stated that the Timmins Police Pipes and Drums are true “musical ambassadors” for the Timmins Police Service.

“Our Pipes and Drums members are all volunteer members and they’re people from all walks of life,” he said. “They’ve performed close to home and all over the world and we’re very proud to have them represent our organization.”
