NCDSB Trustee Election Returns Four Incumbents for Next Term of office

In the recent School board elections that took place on Monday, October 27, all four of the current Northeastern Catholic District School Board Trustees who represent the region of Timmins/Moosonee were re-elected for the next four year term of office.

Colleen Landers topped the polls with 1303 votes or 24.09% of the vote, followed by Peter DelGuidice with 1209 votes (22.35% of the vote), Fred Salvador with 1137 votes (21.02% of the vote) and Ron MacInnis with 985 votes (18.21% of the vote).  Stephane Lefebrve placed 5th with 774 votes.

Colleen Landers, NCDSB Trustee commented, “I want to thank the Catholic rate payers for their vote of confidence in me.  I look forward to representing them for the next 4 years. I will continue to work for Northeastern Catholic School Board to provide quality Catholic education and to be fiscally responsible.”

All other NCDSB Trustees were acclaimed to office.  Richard Brassard and Steve Malciw will continue to represent the communities of Kirkland Lake and Englehart, Elizabeth King, the communities of Cochrane, Iroquois Falls and Matheson, Denis Lincez, the community of Kapuskasing and Martin Drainville, the communities of New Liskeard, Haileybury, Cobalt.
