Youth tests out lights, sirens on police cruiser

An aspiring police officer was given some hands-on experience this week.

At a call for service, Timmins Police Sgt. Robin Carter met young Bryson Chabot.

"Once the dust settled, it was determined that this young man wants to be a police officer," said police in a statement.

"In the spirit of community policing, Master Chabot was allowed to give the emergency equipment (lights and siren) a test run."

The youngster was also given a stuffed toy, thanks to a new partnership between the Timmins Police and the local Rotary Club.
