Woman wanted on outstand warrant arrested by Timmins Police

Police say the accused was arrested after recognizing her as a wanted person

The Timmins Police Service arrested a local resident on the strength of an arrest warrant which was executed in the north end of the city during the late evening hours of Sunday, Sept. 20 by the Timmins Police Service.

While on patrol of his assigned patrol zone, a Timmins Police Service officer recognized a female subject as being a wanted person pursuant to an arrest warrant held by the Timmins Police.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, the subject was arrested by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result, Anya Larabie, 23, of Timmins was arrested on the strength of the warrant.

Larabie remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to charges stemming from a previous incident resulting in the warrant being issued for her arrest.
