The Timmins Police Service arrested a local resident yesterday evening on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by the Provincial Court in Timmins The subject of the warrant had been arrested earlier in the day by the Kirkland Lake OPP in regards to a separate incident.
The Timmins Police were alerted to the fact that the wanted person was in custody in a neighboring jurisdiction. The subject was taken into custody by a Timmins Police Service officer later that evening.
Once the warrant was confirmed, Anya Larabie, 22, of Timmins, was taken into police custody without incident.
She remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins where she will answer to the original Timmins Police charges laid against her.
