TEMISKAMING SHORES - On June 26, 2020 shortly before 4 p.m., members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call for a shoplifter on Wilson Avenue in the City of Temiskaming Shores.
Further investigation revealed that the person implicated, [allegedly] entered the store and failed to pay for the merchandise.
Elizabeth Peever, a 55-year-old resident from Ingram Township, is subsequently arrested and charged with:
- Theft under $5,000 - shoplifting, contrary to section 334(b) of the Criminal Code (CC).
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on July 28, 2020 in the City of Temiskaming Shores.
