KIRKLAND LAKE - On Dec. 3, 2021, members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an assault that occurred at a residence on Woods Street in the Town of Kirkland Lake.
As a result of the investigation, Charles Uuskoski, 57 years old, from Kirkland Lake, has been arrested and charged with;
- Assault with a Weapon, contrary to section 267(1) of the Criminal Code (CC)
- Uttering Threats - Cause Death or Bodily Harm, contrary to section 264.1(1)(a) of the CC
- Mischief Over $5,000, contrary to section 430(3) of the CC
The victim suffered serious non-life-threatening injuries.
The accused was released on a Judicial Release Order and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on Dec. 23, 2021.
