Pedestrian killed in Temiskaming Shores crash

TEMISKAMING SHORES - On June 6, 2021 shortly before 1:30 a.m. members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Timiskaming District Emergency Medical Service (EMS) responded to a collision involving a pedestrian on Highway 11 north of Roland Road in the City of Temiskaming Shores. 

A pedestrian, who was standing on the roadway, was struck by a southbound vehicle causing them to fall to the ground.     

The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene, and has been identified as a Gregory Gosselin, 28 years old, from the Town of Kirkland Lake.

Highway 11 was closed in both directions for several hours.  

The OPP's Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) and the Office of the Chief Coroner- Ontario Forensic Pathology Service (OCC-FPS) were assisting with this investigation.

The OPP has concluded its investigation, and no charges have been laid.
