Temiskaming OPP are investigating a break-in and multiple fires at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in New Liskeard yesterday morning.

Police say they were called around 10 a.m. about a break and enter on Bolger Avenue.

They believe someone entered the property between Monday, August 9 at 1 p.m. and August 11 at 9 a.m. causing damage to a window. Once inside the church the vandals rummaged through the building causing "severe damage."

"Multiple fires were also lit at the property and were extinguished prior to police arrival," said Const. Jennifer Smith in a news release.

"The offenders are unknown at this time and the investigation is continuing," added Smith.

Police are seeking the public's help to help locate and identify the people involved in this incident.

No estimate of damage was given.
