'Unwanted person' call leads to arrest of Englehart resident

ENGLEHART - On April 6, 2021 at approximately 9 p.m., members of the Temiskaming Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call of an unwanted person on Third Avenue in the Town of Englehart.

Further investigation revealed that the unwanted person was breaching conditions from a prior release. The accused was escorted out of the residence.

While officers were effecting the arrest, an altercation ensued. The accused was placed in the cruiser and was transported to detachment for processing.

Shaun Chesworth, a 40-year-old resident of Englehart, is charged with:
    •    Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court, contrary to section 145(5)(a), of the Criminal Code (CC)

The accused was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date in the City of Temiskaming Shores.
