KIRKLAND LAKE - On July 3, 2020, members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an assault at a residence on Premier Avenue East in the Town of Kirkland Lake.
Two people were injured in the altercation sustaining minor injuries.
As a result of the investigation two people have been charged.
Desirae Thompson, age 28 of Kirkland Lake, was charged with assault, contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code (CC) (two counts).
Destiny Aubin, age 19 of Kirkland Lake, was charged with assault, contrary to section 266 of the CC.
Both accused were released on an Undertaking and are scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on Aug. 13, 2020.
