Two charged after stolen vehicle recovered at rest stop

KIRKLAND LAKE - On July 11, 2022, frontline members from the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) assisted the Timmins Police Service with a stolen vehicle investigation.

The motor vehicle was located at a rest stop in Maisonville Township and two people were arrested.

As a result of the investigation, Michael Manchester, 19, and Kyle Archibald, 19, of Timmins have been arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, contrary to section 355(a) of the Criminal Code.

The accused were released on an undertaking and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Aug. 11, 2022 in Kirkland Lake.
