Trailer damaged with bat in Englehart: OPP

ENGLEHART - On July 24, 2021, shortly before 12:30 p.m. members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call for a mischief, on Third Street, in the Town of Englehart.  

Further investigation revealed that an individual exited a residence with a bat and allegedly caused damage to a camping trailer that was parked near the property.

On July 26, 2021 shortly after 10:00 p.m., police located and arrested the accused on Third Avenue in Englehart.

Octavia Roberge, a 22-year-old resident of Englehart is charged with:

  • Mischief under $5000, contrary to section 430(4) of the Criminal Code (CC)
  • Fail to comply with probation order, contrary to section 733.1(1) of the CC

The accused was released by way of an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Sept. 14, 2021, in the City of Temiskaming Shores.
