Timmins woman facing mischief charge after incident at local residence

The Timmins Police Service has charged a local woman with a Criminal Code offence stemming from an incident that occurred in the area of Pine Street North during the morning hours of Tuesday, July 13.

A complaint was received by the Timmins Police where a female subject was observed using a tool to damage a window at a Pine Street North residence.

The total damage to the property is estimated to be $100.

The subject was located and arrested upon arrival at the scene by a Timmins Police Service officer.

As a result of the incidents, Amanda Sutherland, 37, of Timmins, has been charged with:

  • Mischief under $5,000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charge laid against her.
