Timmins resident killed in Highway 11 crash

Police responded to the crash shortly after 8 a.m. and the highway remains closed at this time

On July 21, 2021 at approximately 8 a.m., members of the Iroquois Falls Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a serious two-vehicle collision on Highway 11, Calvert Township, north of Highway 67

The driver of one of the vehicles, Michael McCreight, 51 years of age of Timmins, was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

The investigation in ongoing with the assistance of the North East Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) Team including a Technical Collision Investigator (TCI) and a Reconstructionist.

The highway remains closed.
