The Timmins Police Service was invited to attend Northern College today to address the Police Foundations students.  

Const. Darren McGaghran responded to the invitation and provided a highly informative presentation on the core function of the Timmins Police – Traffic Section.  

A myriad of traffic-related topics were covered from basic traffic enforcement strategies all the way to intensive collision reconstruction.  

This is yet another example of how the Timmins Police Service enjoys a vibrant partnership with Northern College in terms of education and recruitment opportunities.  

The students definitely benefitted from Const. McGaghran’s experience, expertise, and professional insights into the challenges and rewards of specialty investigation related to traffic collisions.  

Northern College – Police Foundations Program Coordinator and former Timmins Police officer Rick Lemieux facilitated the presentation.  

The Timmins Police is grateful for the opportunity to expand on the vital services that Timmins Police – Traffic Section officers deploy on a daily basis in terms of traffic-related community safety and collision investigation.
