The Timmins Police Service has charged a local man person with a charge of assault stemming from an incident that occurred during the earlier this month at a Spruce St. S building in Timmins.
The matter was reported to the Timmins Police Service days after the initial event and an investigation into the matter was completed.
It was determined that a male subject had engaged in menacing and assaultive behavior towards a female party in the Spruce St. S building on June 20.
The suspect was located and arrested by the Timmins Police on Saturday, June 27.
Based on the outcome of the investigation, Michel Gagne, 62, of Timmins, has been charged with:
- Assault contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.
