Temiskaming Shores resident accused of taking nude photos of victim without permission: OPP

TEMISKAMING SHORES - On July 27, 2021, members from the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call for a historical domestic situation, in the City of Temiskaming Shores.

Between July 1 and July 27, 2021, the accused allegedly called and texted an ex-partner numerous times and attended their place of work uninvited.

Further investigation revealed that the accused had taken nude photos/videos of the victim without their permission.

On July 29, 2021 shortly after 12:00 p.m. a 34-year-old resident of Temiskaming Shores was arrested and has been charged with:

  • Criminal harassment - repeatedly communicate, contrary to section 264(2)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC)
  • Voyeurism, contrary to section 162(1) of the CC
  • Theft under $5,000 from a motor vehicle, contrary to section 334(b) of the CC
  • Mischief - domestic, contrary to section 430(4) of the CC 
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm, contrary to section 91(1) of the CC
  • Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition, contrary to section 86(1) of the CC

The accused was held for a bail hearing, and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date, in the City of Temiskaming Shores. 

The OPP will not be releasing the name of the accused in order to protect the identity of the victim.
