Temiskaming resident charged with impaired driving in Earlton area: OPP

HARLEY TOWNSHIP - On June 10, 2021 shortly after 9:30 p.m., members from the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call for a traffic complaint on Highway 11 northbound from Harley Township.   

Officers located and stopped the vehicle on Highway 11 in the Township of Armstrong.  

Further investigation revealed that the driver had consumed a suspected controlled substance and was arrested. The accused was transported to the Temiskaming Detachment to conduct further testing.

As a result, Tyler Corbiere, a 34-year-old resident of Temiskaming Shores, has been charged with:

  •  Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs, contrary to section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC).

The accused was released by way of an Appearance Notice and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on July 6, 2021 in the City of Temiskaming Shores.

The OPP reminds motorists that any amount of alcohol or drug can impair one's ability to drive. If you observe a suspected impaired driver, please call 911 or contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 and report it.
