Suspected drugs seized in Iroquois Falls

Police seized suspected heroin, methamphetamine and two people are facing trafficking charges as a result

On Dec. 4, 2020 members of the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the South Porcupine OPP Crime Unit conducted a search warrant at a residence on Lariviere Lane in Iroquois Falls. 

As a result of the investigation, the OPP seized amounts of suspected heroin, methamphetamine and Percocet with an estimated street value of $3,000. Two people were arrested and charged.

Joel Gregg, age 44, of Iroquois Falls and Manon Lefebvre, age 33 of Iroquois Falls are charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking heroin contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA),
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA,
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid (other than heroin) contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA,
  • Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA and,
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 contrary to section 354(1) (a) of the Criminal Code (CC).

The accused were released on an Undertaking and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Jan. 14, 2021 in Timmins.
